Theme: Outer Space
Cosmic Surrealism: Art Beyond the Atmosphere
Is it a spacecraft? A deep-space anomaly? Or something else entirely? This week, we’re diving into the dreamlike world of Surrealism and exploring how artists use the mystery of outer space to challenge reality. Students will conceptualize their own "Unidentified Object" and bring it to life as a 3D sculpture. Using mixed media, translucent materials, and lights, artists will create a glowing masterpiece that looks like it drifted straight out of a sci-fi gallery.
This weekly summer program is all about playful art making with a focus on the process and experience of creating! Classes are sold in 3-day sessions.
