The OAB embodies the essence of Leland as a small, northern Michigan community dedicated to providing a high quality of life for its residents while preserving its historic look and feel. It is the anchor of our “cultural complex.” OAB effectively accommodates a wide variety of events and activities, presenting a different persona depending on the use to which it is being put. From concert hall to art gallery to exercise facility, it “works” in a way that no modern structure could. Berkley and I love the OAB.

For me, the OAB is more than a community center for the arts. It is a place to build healthy bodies through weekly exercise and Tai Chi classes.
