The Old Art Building is currently seeking a Program Coordinator. This position is responsible for the planning and implementation of programming at the OAB. This includes long-standing annual events as well as identifying new program opportunities based on the organization's strategic goals.

Experience and General Requirements
- 4-year degree, preferably Arts administration, education or related field
- Previous work experience with a minimum of 2-4 years in program implementation, relationship management and event coordination.
- Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Unparalleled communication and writing skills
- Ability to adapt and pick up new techniques
- Proficiency with various social media platforms including Facebook & Instagram
- Project management experience is helpful
- Interest and knowledge of art and culture in the broader Grand Traverse region

Responsibilities
- Plan and implement annual programs.
- Work with ED and OAB staff to help plan and schedule programs & events
- Provide necessary reporting for program/event coordination and post-event records
- Partner with volunteer coordinator on needs for specific programs/events
- Work with ED to develop budgets for programs & events
- Identify opportunities for business sponsorship & grants
- Work with Marketing Director to promote programs/events
- Provide program/event related content for web, social media, monthly newsletters
- Collaborate on strategy to ensure event/program goals are met
- Identify and engage with visual and performing artists, class instructors, students for participation in various programs and events
- Manage communication with artists, booking agents, and instructors regarding programming/events, contracts, classes.
- Oversee communication with program and event participants.
- Update performance contracts and instructor/participant forms as needed.
- Manage data management related to programming/events
- Setup program and event registration
- Record and acknowledge in a timely manner all incoming class registrations/tuition
- Serve as a liaison to the Program committee of the Board
- Evaluate and assess the programs’ strengths and areas for improvement
- Support Development and Membership initiatives especially as related to programming and events
