Join in the outdoor winter fun at the 3rd annual 'Icebreaker' ice sculpting event featuring a professional ice sculpting demonstration by Matt Cooper (12 – 3 pm). Local teams will also be carving their own sculptures.

Wander the snowy pathways to view ice carving in action. Enjoy some simple food and beverage options, and warm up at one of several bonfires.

Have a team in mind and want to try your hand at ice carving?

  • Team registration is open to the public, no experience required.
  • Teams must pay in full for registration and submit a completed registration form prior to the event date to secure a carving circle.
  • A team may be any size. Registration includes 1 ice block per team.
  • Teams are encouraged to arrive by 11 am for orientation, set up, and a Q&A session with professional ice sculptor, Matt Cooper.
  • This is not a competition. The focus is on fun and creativity!

    About Matt Cooper

    Over the past 20 years, Matt has provided ice sculptures to some of Michigan's finest hotels, resorts, country clubs, sports arenas and caterers. His business, Icon Ice, is located in Fenton, Michigan. To see more of Matt's work click here.

    Matt Cooper is a member of the American Culinary Federation and is a Certified Executive Chef through the A.C.F. Matt is also an instructor at Mott Community College in the Culinary Arts Program.
