Using the cello in combination with live looping and various ethnic string instruments, Hans Christian explores a universal musical language that transcends boundaries, cultures, and generations.

Grammy ® nominated Cellist, Multi-Instrumentalist, Composer, Producer

During a live looping concert, Hans will record musical phrases that create harmonic and ambient textures in ever changing colors and densities. Audiences will be offered a listening experience that ranges from meditative to passionate, at times with a soaring cello that is supported by a fully orchestrated layer of strings while at other times dissolving into ambient meditative sound paintings. The artist also incorporates esoteric string instruments, such as the Indian sarangi, to blend with the cello and thereby giving the concert an expanded ethnic flavor. Additionally, audiences may find sound bowls, cymbals, and flutes appearduring a concert.
