This one day workshop, back by popular demand, will explore the wondrous world of fairies. Bring your creativity, unleash your imagination and make lots of fairy friends. To help bring the fairies to Leland, we'll be creating a fantastical fairy door that children can take home to welcome fairies into their own gardens. We will also be painting stones to make our own fairy trail at the Old Art Building. Come join us for a magical day!

Meet Heather Harrington

Heather is co-owner, along with her husband Jay, of Life and Whim a northern Michigan lifestyle brand that is especially passionate about engaging the imaginations and inspiring the curiosity of children from the community events they put on to the clothing they design and make. Through Life and Whim, Heather created the Fairy Trails in Traverse City, a special spot for kids, full of all natural, magical fairy houses built by Heather and her family and many other members of our community. She is also creative director and co-owner of Harrington, a brand strategy and creative services agency.

Heather is a mother, wife, designer, and maker that loves everything design and creative. She particularly loves the energy and inspiration that comes from creating with others! In her extra time, you can find her spending time outside, hiking and exploring (she is always up for an adventure) and crafting with her three daughters! She loves coffee, wine, great cheese, art, gardening, making fairy houses, interior design, sewing and collaborating with amazing makers and organizations in the community.
