This class is an opportunity to explore in a playful way some of the principles of the creative process through coloring. The class will touch on: curiosity, patience, flexibility, and generosity.

  • Recommended for ages 9 – 12
  • All art materials will be provided.
  • To ensure safety for all, number of participants will be limited and masks are required.


About Richard Stocker

A native of Detroit, Michigan, Richard Stocker was a Cass Corridor artist and photographer for Fifth Estate Magazine in the 1960’s. He studied art at the Vancouver School of Art,York University, and The Art Institute of Chicago.Richard’s work has appeared on the cover of Tiferet Journal, at Art Prize 2015, in the art collection of Detroit Receiving Hospital, and in the homes of private collectors. In the spring of 2016, he was a featured artist at The Detroit Institute of Arts and The University of Michigan Museum of Art for his innovative work creating community through coloring.

Richard lives on the Leelanau Peninsula with his wife and can be found daily either in his art studio or exploring this beautiful area with his camera. To inquire about his work, email him at partlycloudy@rstocker.com
