Techniques will be learned for “throwing” a variety of pots on the potter’s wheel in the form of cups, bowls, vases etc. These can be combined with hand building process to create unique, one of a kind pieces that will have added extra textures and designs. Decorating the pots will entail using specialized over-glazes.

Carrie Ming has a BFA in Ceramics from the Oregon College of Art and Craft. She taught at her studio Fishtown Pottery for 5 years before moving her studio to One Love Pottery on Schomberg road where she has a garden and a pottery shed store just like her childhood hero Karl Sporck.
