Hi Everybody! My name is Debbie Newmark and I hail from suburban Chicago. I am a rising junior, American Studies major at Amherst College with a concentration in Education and Youth Development. I have visited Leland for a week at a time each of the past four summers and fell so in love that I decided there was no other place I could be for the summer of 2017. I love sports and play field hockey as well as run track at Amherst. When I’m not on the pitch or track, I enjoy reading and baking. I am so excited for this summer and can’t wait to meet you all! Thank you for having me in your amazing town!
