Kid Creator Camp with Tracy Smedes-Hepler

Kid Creator Camp is our newest children’s summer arts program for children 5 – 8 yrs old. Each week there will be a theme that will guide the days events. Tie Dye for the 4th—build a spaceship—learn a song–go on a nature hike–are just a few of the activities that children will participate in. For parents there are options. Each session/week runs Monday – Thursday 1 – 3 pm. starting from July 2 to August 9. Register for a week(s), or sign up for a day(s). We ask that you please pre-register your child so that we have the current contact information, but drop ins are welcome . . . if there is room. Each class is limited to 12 students, so don’t procrastinate!

I am excited to facilitate Kid Creator Camp this summer. I have 13 years of experience working as a preschool teacher at The Leelanau Children’s Center. I hold a BA in child development and especially enjoy creating experiences for children that blend science and artistic exploration. I am the mother of two boys and our family enjoys exploring the land and waters of Leelanau County. I am looking forward to engaging in deep, playful, experiences with kids this summer at the Old Art Building.
