The Leelanau Community Cultural Center (LCCC) was formed in 1991 to preserve and enhance the historical, cultural and education value of The Old Art Building in Leland, formerly the Michigan State Art School Building, and to provide a focal point of the community in keeping with the traditional values upon which the facility was founded. What is the significance of the LCCC ENDOWNMENT FUND? The LCCC has restored the historic Old Art Building in Leland and is making it a center for educational and cultural programs as well as community events. Building improvements continue to be made and programs expanded with a current annual operating budget of approximately $65,000. In order to ensure the long-term stability of the effort, the LCCC in the year 2000, established an endowment fund with the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation (GTRCF). The goal of $250,000 is to be reached by 2005. The income from this fund will be used to support our three main objectives:
