What is the Leelanau Community Cultural Center?
The Leelanau Community Cultural Center (LCCC) was formed in 1991 to preserve and enhance the historical, cultural, and educational value of the Old Art Building in Leland, formerly known as the Michigan State Art School Building, and to provide a focal point of the community in keeping with the traditional values upon which the facility was founded.
What is the significance of the LCCC ENDOWMENT FUND?
The LCCC has restored the historic Old Art Building in Leland and is making it a center for educational and cultural programs, as well as community events. Building improvements continue to be made and programs expanded throughout the calendar year. In order to ensure the long-term sustainability of the effort, the LCCC, in the year 2000, established an endowment fund with the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation (GTRCF.) The income from this fund will be used to support our three main objectives:
- Creating educational and cultural programs
- Maintaining and improving the building and grounds
- Providing an operating budget
Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to the LCCC Endowment Fund. Help preserve the Old Art Building as a landmark and focal point for educational and cultural activities in the community. You may want to contribute to the Endowment Fund in the following ways:
- Outright gifts such as cash, stocks, bonds, real estate, royalties, personal or life insurance
- Bequests in wills such as general, specific, restricted, or contingent bequests
- Charitable remainder annuity trusts
- Charitable remainder unitrust
- Trust agreements
- Gift annuity agreements
