The Leelanau Community Cultural Center is sponsoring its 17th annual Fiber Festival on Friday, October 13 from 5 to 7:30 pm and Saturday, October 14 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Old Art Building in Leland. Artists with original fiber art will exhibit and sell their work in mediums of wearable art, textiles, weaving, art quilts, fiber sculpture, knits and yarns.  Admission is free.

The featured artists this year are:

Char Bickel, fiber collage; Co-opted Fiber, Handspun yarn and weaving, Jeanne Creighton, fiber art dolls art quilts, books; Keira Duvernoy, felted wool, silk, linen hats; Katie Hafner, recyled art quilts and artwork; Sarah Harste, fiber art wall hangings; Linda Kustra, knitting; Sue Nichols, felted wool vessels on artwork; Kathy Powell, children & doll clothing; Jenee Rowe, Recycle sail cloth items; Carol Salerno, woven scarves, linens; Cathy Siterlet, wall hangings, scarfs, of silk cotton alpaca
